摘要 A VA(Vertical Alignment) mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to omit a rivet formed on a color filter substrate through one mask process, thereby omitting once mask process and accordingly improving productivity by reducing processes. A gate line and a data line(125) cross each other in an upper part of a first substrate(103) to define a pixel area(P). A TFT(Thin Film Transistor)(Tr) is formed within the pixel area. A passivation layer(140) covers the TFT and has plural holes(142,146) within the pixel area. A pixel electrode(158) is formed on the passivation layer and has a recess unit towards the inside of the plural holes within the pixel area. The pixel electrode divides the pixel area into plural partial areas(P1,P2,P3), and includes plural partial pixel electrodes(151,153,155) respectively formed in each partial pixel area. A second substrate(171) faces the first substrate. A black matrix(174) is formed in the inside of the second substrate. A color filter layer(177) is formed in the inside exposed to the outside of the black matrix. A common electrode is formed in the front of a lower part of the color filter layer. An LC layer(190) is interposed between the pixel electrode and the common electrode.
