PURPOSE: A user location based payment method and a payment server for the same are provided to approve payment only when the location of a store terminal from which a payment approval is requested and the location of a user terminal are within a certain distance, thereby preventing the illegal use of a missing or stolen credit card. CONSTITUTION: A payment server receives payment approval request data including payment method data from a store terminal (S310). The payment server extracts the location of the store terminal (S320). The payment server obtains the location data of a user terminal (S330). The payment server determines whether the user terminal and the store terminal are located within a first range (S340). The payment server approves the payment by a payment method, which is selected by a user, according to the determination (S350-S390).
