PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress use of consumables while reducing the requirement of memory in a connection test between a plurality of control units.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: connection means; transfer means; measurement means; and determination means. The connection means connects a first control unit and a second control unit. The transfer means transfers image data via the connection means. The measurement means measures the number of pixels of the image data received via the connection means. The determination means determines if the first control unit and the second control unit are properly connected on the basis of the result of comparison between the measured number of pixels and a predetermined threshold. |
