PURPOSE: An ophthalmic device for positioning an anterior eye and a control method thereof are provided to prevent damage to the anterior eye and to operate surgical procedures because the surface shape of the anterior eye is maintained by maintaining a contact state to surgical liquid. CONSTITUTION: An ophthalmic device for positioning an anterior eye (100) comprises a body (101), a first channel, and a second channel. The body comprises a bottom surface forming a contact surface to the anterior eye of patients; and a hollow part (140) forming a space to receive liquid. The first channel is connected to the bottom surface and forms an air suction passage for fixing the edge of the anterior eye contacted to the bottom surface. The second channel is connected to the hollow part and forms a liquid suction passage for fixing the center part of the anterior eye contacted to the liquid.
