<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust device of an engine which assures effective and proper silencing effect although it is substantially inexpensive. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust device includes: an exhaust pipe 11 connected with the engine; a silencer 12 connected with the exhaust pipe 11 and comprising an external tube 13 and an internal tube 14 equipped with a plurality of holes; and a sound absorbing material 17 disposed in a space formed between the internal tube 14 and the external tube 13. A partitioning wall 26 which partitions the space and also supports the sound absorbing material 17 not to move in an axial direction of the silencer 12 is provided. The partitioning wall 26 has a communication hole provided to permit an exhaust gas to flow from the upstream to the downstream of the partitioning wall 26 in the space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
