<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic ticket gate device that can operate normally even if a human detector gets out of order, and is convenient to a station staff. <P>SOLUTION: The automatic ticket gate device reads ticket information, recorded on a ticket medium that a user presents, out of the ticket medium, and follows and detects at least the position and passing direction of the user on the basis of detection states of a plurality of detectors installed in a row at constant intervals along a passage that the user passes through and detecting the user passing through the passage so as to control whether the user is allowed to pass on the basis of the detection results and the ticket information read out of the ticket medium. The automatic ticket gate device includes control means of monitoring outputs of the plurality of detectors, and then performing control to disable the plurality of detectors to be switched to a non-operation state when detecting at least two or more adjacent detectors being in a detection state or control to enable the plurality of detectors to be switched to the non-operation state in other cases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
