This separation and recovery device (1) is provided with: a primary centrifugal separation unit (9) equipped with a bowl-shape primary rotating body (7) and a primary rotation drive unit (8); a used coolant reservoir (10) for temporarily storing used coolant (2); a primary rotational speed control unit (11) for changing the rotational speed of the primary rotating body (7); an abrasive grain separation and recovery unit (12) for separating recoverable abrasive grains (3) and crushed abrasive grains (4); a secondary centrifugal separation unit (15) equipped with a bowl-shape secondary rotating body (13) and a secondary rotation drive unit (14); a primary centrifugally separated liquid reservoir (17) which discharges a primary centrifugally separated liquid (16); and a secondary rotational speed control unit (18) for changing the rotational speed of the secondary rotating body (13).
