摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately set a recognition area set for guiding a sight line of a driver and a determination area set for performing a collision alarm or a collision avoiding control.SOLUTION: A recognition area P1 is set in front of a vehicle and a determination area P2 is set inside the recognition area. When an obstruction is detected within the recognition area P1 by a radar 1 or a camera 2, the driver's sight line is guided to the detected obstruction. When an obstruction is detected within the determination area P2, a collision avoiding control such as a collision alarm and an automatic brake is performed. The recognition area P1 may be changed according to predetermined conditions, for example, difficulty to find an obstruction by an occupant, followability of a vehicle in a collision avoiding operation, and a possibility of reaction delay of the occupant. The determination area P2 may be prohibited to change or changed at a change degree smaller than that of the recognition area P1.
