<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering honeycomb filter by which thermal stress caused during combustion recovery can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The method for recovering a honeycomb filter provided with a plurality of flow paths that are parallel to each other and separated by porous partition walls includes a recovering step for raising the temperature within the flow paths to which substances to be eliminated have accumulated to combust the substances to be eliminated. In the recovering step, the difference between a first temperature at a predetermined position within the honeycomb filter that reaches the highest temperature of the honeycomb filter (excepting positions on the central axial line of the honeycomb filter), and a second temperature at a position on the central axial line and at a direction perpendicular to the central axial line with respect to the above predetermined position is no greater than 300°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
