The present invention relates to a spindle motor for high-speed rotation, in which a smooth circulation occurs with no oil-congested areas in an oil flow path formed within a bearing housing. Said spindle motor comprises: a rotor; a rotary shaft having one end that is coupled with said rotor; a sleeve bearing which rotatably supports an outer surface of said rotary shaft in the inner circumferential part thereof, has at least one concave groove for oil circulation along a lengthwise direction in the outer circumferential part thereof, and is made of oil-containing sintered metal; a bearing housing which has a first concave groove for accommodating said sleeve bearing and a second concave groove for supporting the other end of the rotary shaft in the central part of said first concave groove, wherein the bearing housing is made of resin; and a plurality of protruding portions which are radially protruded at certain intervals on said rotary shaft in order to form, on the bottom of first concave groove, a plurality of guide grooves through which oil passes, and in which a lower end of said sleeve bearing is mounted thereon. |
