A cushioning device for supporting machinery comprises a massive solid moulded rubber or synthetic rubber member A having a depressed upper surface B shaped complementary to the foot of a machine standard and having an under face formed with a marginal rim F entirely surrounding a recess containing a plurality of projections G co-planar with the surface of the rim and serving to make non-slipping contact with the floor of a mill or machine shop. In the arrangement shown the projections may be cylindrical, or of any non-circular cross-sectional configuration. Alternatively a series of sinuous, zig-zag or obliquely disposed ribs may be moulded integrally with the block. Slots C may be formed in the rim F. |
