PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polysiloxane composition which has an excellent gas barrier property, cold heat impact resistance and light extraction efficiency in addition to high heat resistance and light fastness, and further has a satisfactory handling property in sealing of an optical semiconductor element, and to provide sealant using the composition and an optical device.

SOLUTION: The polyhedral structure polysiloxane modified body is obtained by hydrosilylating a polyhedral structure polysiloxane compound (a) having alkenyl group, a compound (b) having hydrosilyl group, and a cyclic olefin compound (c) having one carbon-carbon double bond in one molecule.
