<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for treating the terminal of a wire, with which occurrence of biting between a cutter and a quill is prevented when cutting the terminal of the wire. <P>SOLUTION: In the device for treating the terminal of the wire in a former, a terminal detecting sensor 21 for detecting the terminal of the wire A to be supplied and a saw cutter 22 which is movable in a wire supplying direction and with which the terminal of the wire is cut and removed in an arbitrary position are provided on the rear side in the wire supplying direction of a blank supplying mechanism 8, and also a computer 23 which performs control so that the residual length X of the wire is detected on the basis of a terminal detecting signal from the terminal detecting sensor 21 and simultaneously this length X of the wire is divided by the cutting length L and, when the remainder numerical value (a) by the division is not longer than one half of the diameter D of the wire, the former 1 and the blank supplying mechanism 8 are stopped, also the saw cutter 22 is moved from the divided last terminal part to the position of about one half of the cutting length L and a surplus terminal is cut and removed, is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
