A process for producing monodisperse, non-aggregated TiO2 nanoparticles in the 20nm range is disclosed which comprises the steps of mixing titanium isopropoxide with water and acetic acid, heating the mixture to 80 ºC, and then further hydrothermally treating the heated mixture in an autoclave at 250 ºC to form the dispersed TiO2 nanoparticles. The process may be applied to the formation of SiO2, Al2O3 or ZnO particles. |
