Covering device comprises covering shells (1, 2) joined together by a connecting unit having a hook-shaped engaging section (4) which provides a positive fit connection with a holding section (5). The covering shells are tensioned against each other. Preferred Features: The holding section has a claw-like shape. The connecting unit is integrated into the covering shells. The connecting unit is formed as a clip with two holding sections lying opposite each other.
