SLOTTED WAVEGUIDE ANTENNA INCLUDING POLARIZING FILTER FOR SUPPRESSING OF BUTTERFLY-LOBE OR SECOND-ORDER BEAM

PURPOSE: A slotted waveguide antenna including a polarizing filter for suppressing butterfly-lobe or second beam is provided to suppress a size of butterfly-lobe and second beam generated through a horizontal direction element by including a polarizing filter in the front for removing the horizontal direction element of electric filed. CONSTITUTION: A slot waveguide(502) is composed of a waveguide of general metals. The slot waveguide includes a plurality of slots with various angle and length at regular intervals. The slot waveguide suppresses butterfly-lobe and second beam by using a polarizing filter(504). The polarizing filter is formed in front of the slot waveguide for blocking a horizontal direction element of electric field. The polarizing filter includes a linear metal member(503) arranged periodically.
