A latex of a highly saturated nitrile rubber comprising α,&bgr;-ethylenically unsaturated nitrile monomer units in 30 to 55 wt %, acid-group-containing α,&bgr;-ethylenically unsaturated monomer units in 3 to 20 wt %, wherein an iodine value is 120 or less, and a tetrahydrofuran insoluble fraction is 30 to 70 wt % and an adhesive composition containing this latex of the highly saturated nitrile rubber are provided.
