A method of producing adhesion between a solid surface and a second solid or liquid, continuous or discontinuous, surface consists, in the parent patent, of applying friction to the first surface, directly or through an intermediate layer. The improvement is that the speed of the friction tool relative to the first surface is >=50 cm./sec. The method is esp. applicable to welding surfaces normally difficult to weld, e.g. polyamide, polyimides, kraft paper using relatively low pressures. |
