<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a social networking service technique capable of sharing multimedia data, such as music content, among a small number of users who can be considered to be a range of private use and easily setting the relationship among users capable of sharing such data from outside the home, or the like. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A server and each user equipment are connected to a network to configure a social networking system. The server stores multimedia data of respective users and best friend lists for identifying users with whom the respective users have established a relationship of best friends within a range of a certain number of users which can be considered as private use. When the server receives an access request from the user equipment, the server permits the user equipment to access the multimedia data of the user and the multimedia data of users with whom the user of one user equipment has established the relationship of best friends.
