<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device and a computer system for reducing the amount of liquid to be consumed. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid discharge device includes a movable discharge head provided with a plurality of nozzles for discharging liquid, and a feed mechanism for feeding a medium in a predetermined direction. The liquid discharge device for discharging liquid from the nozzles onto the medium is configured to detect a portion of the medium located in the upstream side of the feeding direction; and prevent the nozzles located in the upstream side of the feeding direction from discharging the liquid, based on the detection result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
