PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for properly evaluating the damage of a member having received cumulated damage. SOLUTION: The method for evaluating the damage of the member having received the cumulated damage includes: a process for measuring a crystal orientation angle difference by an electron back scattering diffraction image method with respect to an evaluation target member; and a process for evaluating the cumulated damage of the evaluation target member using the measured crystal orientation angle difference and the calibration curve of the crystal orientation angle difference, which is preliminarily formed by performing the measurement of the crystal orientation angle difference by the electron back scattering diffraction image method and a cumulated damage test with respect to the member of the same component system as the evaluation target member, and the cumulated damage.
