PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a non-oriented silicon steel sheet with which the deterioration of pickling property can be restrained. SOLUTION: The method for producing the non-oriented silicon steel sheet includes: a process for continuously annealing a hot-rolled plate composed, by mass, of≤0.006% C, 0.3-5% Cr, 1-4% Si, 0.4-3% Al,≤1.5% Mn,≤0.003% S,≤0.003% N and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities; a process for pickling the annealed hot-rolled plate; a process for making a cold-rolled sheet by cold-rolling the pickled hot-rolled plate; and a process for recrystallize-annealing the cold-rolled sheet. In the process for annealing the hot-rolled plate, the annealing temperature is controlled to be 900-1,150°C, the atmosphere is controlled to be mainly N<SB>2</SB>, the dew point is controlled to be≤50°C and the O<SB>2</SB>content is controlled to be≤1 vol.%.
