DAMPER FOR RAILROAD VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper for a railroad vehicle improving riding comfort by relaxing a shock that occurs in the damping control. SOLUTION: This damper 5A for a railroad vehicle includes: a cylinder 10 structured so that hydraulic operating fluid flows from a head side chamber 13 to a rod side chamber 14; an oil tank 18 connected to the head side chamber; and a hydraulic circuit switching control between the on-load control and the unloading control. The hydraulic circuit includes: a first proportional relief valve 23 performing the on-load control to the extending operation of the cylinder 10 by adjusting opening of the valve; and a second proportional relief valve 24 performing the on-load control to the shrinking operation of the cylinder by adjusting opening of the valve.
