PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake valve, an internal combustion engine and a transport apparatus having the same, capable of improving the suction air volume. SOLUTION: A shade part 53 of the intake valve 43 has a valve face 55 formed in a peripheral edge part 71 and a single annular peripheral edge groove part 73 being the peripheral edge part 71 and arranged in the inside vicinity of the valve face 55. When suction air (an air current G1) running along a surface of the shade part 53 reaches the peripheral edge part 71, only a portion thereof (the air current G1) flows in the peripheral edge groove part 73, and the remaining thereof (an air current G2) passes as it is through above the peripheral edge groove part 73. Since the suction air (the air current G1) flowed in the peripheral edge groove part 73 becomes a turbulent flow, the suction air advances under the peripheral edge part 71 of the shade part 53 so as to roll up the peripheral edge part 71 of the shade part 53, and the suction air volume sucked in a combustion chamber A increases. Since only a portion of the suction air flows in the peripheral edge groove part 73, flow resistance of the suction air flowing in the combustion chamber A from an intake port B can be restrained.
