<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium ion secondary battery superior in safety, and excellent in output characteristics, and a positive electrode active material necessary for realizing the same. <P>SOLUTION: As a positive electrode active material, a phosphate compound is used of which a general formula is LiMn<SB>1-X</SB>M<SB>X</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>(M:bivalent cation other than Mn, 0.01≤X≤0.4), an ortho-rhombic system of which the space group has symmetry of Pmnb, the lattice constant of a-axis, b-axis, and c-axis is respectively 1.060 nm≤a≤1.120 nm, 0.620 nm≤b≤0.66 nm, and 0.486 nm≤c≤0.515 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
