The embodiments of the present invention relate to a method, system and a network element device, gateway device for processing an Access Point Name (APN) restriction information, wherein the method includes: a second Mobility Management Network Element receives a first APN restriction information sent by a first Mobility Management Network Element; the second Mobility Management Network Element gets a maximum APN restriction information according to said first APN restriction information, and a Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW) determines to establish or refuses to establish a new Packet Data Network (PDN) connection according to the maximum APN restriction information. In the embodiments of the present invention, the second Mobility Management Network Element can receive the APN restriction information sent by the first Mobility Management Network Element or a prestored APN restriction information sent by a serving gateway, and further gets the maximum APN restriction information according to the APN restriction information, so the PGW determines to establish or refuses to establish a new PDN connection according to the maximum APN restriction information, and the security of the private PDN is improved. |
