PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for avoiding oversight of target information while a map is scrolled since, in a conventional map display, wherein a range displayed on a map is scrolled at a constant speed designated by a user in the direction designated by the user, the user may possibly overlook desired information, when there is a large amount of information being displayed during the scrolling. SOLUTION: The map display determines the scroll speed, according to the display information amount calculated according to the characteristics of a prescribed range on the basis of the displayed range, and scrolls the displayed ranged at a determined scroll speed.
