PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a performance monitor device for monitoring performance such as transmission power and receiver sensitivity of radar devices and a radar device with the performance monitor device capable of stably monitoring the performance during operation in any positions or directions of targets. SOLUTION: The performance monitor device includes a control means which transmits a measurement signal for performance check of a radar to a certain direction different from the direction to which a transmission signal is transmitted from the radar for positioning or ranging a target and a check means which performs the performance check based on the measurement signal received by a receiving system of the radar.
