<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of sufficiently securing heating ability even in low outside temperature conditions, and a control method of the air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1 includes a refrigerant circuit 10, and an upper limit frequency setting part 12a. The refrigerant circuit 10 includes a compressor 21, an indoor heat exchanger 41, an expansion valve 24, and an outdoor heat exchanger 23. The upper limit frequency setting part 12a, in heating operation, sets an upper limit frequency Fu of the compressor 21 to be higher as an outside air temperature Ta becomes lower. For example, when it is determined that the outside temperature Ta is lower than a first temperature during the heating operation wherein the upper limit frequency Fu is set to be a first frequency, the upper limit frequency setting part 12a set the upper limit frequency Fu to be a second frequency higher than the first frequency. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
