PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial cable connector for actualizing hard-to-damage engagement with high tensile strength while avoiding the fraying at the front ends of braided wires when giving force to a coaxial cable in its pull-off direction, and to provide a method for connecting the coaxial cable to the connector. SOLUTION: A crimping part 37 has a plurality of protruded portions to be pushed against the mesh of the braided wires 30 which cover the outer peripheral face of an outer cover 31 and whose movement along the longitudinal direction of the coaxial cable 21 is restricted when the crimping part 37 crimps one end of the coaxial cable 21.
