<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display, and its manufacturing method, capable of securing superb electric connection of an auxiliary wiring and a second electrode in a simple process without any large-scale facilities. <P>SOLUTION: The organic EL display 1 is manufactured as follows. An auxiliary wiring 13 and a reverse-bias wiring 17B are formed on a flattened layer 12 in electric insulation. After an inter-pixel insulation film 15 and an organic layer 16 are sequentially formed on a display area, a bias electrode 17 is arranged over a whole face of the flattened layer 12. Reverse bias voltage is impressed on the organic layer 16 trough the auxiliary wiring 14 and the reverse-bias wiring 17B, and an area on the auxiliary wiring 14 out of the organic layer 16 are selectively removed to form a contact hole 16A. By forming a second electrode 18 so as to embed the contact hole 16A, electric connection between the auxiliary wiring 14 and the second electrode 18 is secured without using a laser light irradiating device, or without making any precise positioning. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
