发明名称 METHOD FOR CONTINUOUSLY CASTING STEEL
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method capable of obtaining high quality cast billet having reduced defects caused by bubbles, flux or the like. SOLUTION: This method includes using a continuous casting machine provided with a pair of upper magnetic poles 3a, 3b and a pair of lower magnetic poles 4a, 4b facing to each other with a long side part of a mold sandwiched therebetween and provided with a submerged nozzle with downward molten steel discharge angleαof≥30°and <50°from horizontal direction of a molten steel discharge hole and carrying out continuous casting of steel while controlling molten steel flow by using direct current magnetic field respectively applied to an upper magnetic pole and a lower magnetic pole. In the method, intensity of direct current magnetic fields respectively applied to the upper magnetic poles and the lower magnetic poles and intensity ratio of both direct current magnetic fields are optimized corresponding to slab width to be cast and casting speed, so that the high quality cast billet having reduced defects due to nonmetallic inclusion or mold flux and defects due to minute bubbles or the mold flux which are conventional problems is obtained.
