摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling a power transmission device for vehicle, which is equipped with an engine, an electric differential part, and a second motor connected to a drive wheel so that a power can be transmitted, and which enables a vehicle to travel when a mechanical power transmission part slips during running on electricity. <P>SOLUTION: This device for controlling a power transmission device for a vehicle is provided with an engine start means 90 for starting an engine 8 by a third motor M3 connected to an input shaft 14 of a power distribution mechanism 16 so that a power can be transmitted when an automatic transmission 20 slips due to a failure of a hydraulic system component during motor traveling (electric traveling). When the failure of the hydraulic component occurs in an electric oil pump 74, a mechanical oil pump 72 is started in response to the start of an engine 8, and a necessary oil pressure is supplied to an automatic transmission 20.
