<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device which can prevent image processing from being carried out for data that are not applicable to proper image processing and which can improve the reliability of apparatus signature. <P>SOLUTION: A compound machine 105 as an image processing device prepares electronic data, by reading an original and stores electronic data prepared by the compound machine 105 and electronic data prepared by an external device. The machine also stores the electronic data prepared by the compound machine 105 and identification information of the compound machine 105 associated with each other; discriminates the electronic data prepared by the compound machine 105 among the stored electronic data based on identification information of the compound machine 105; and limits the function of the compound machine 105 to the electronic data prepared by the external device among the stored electronic data, based on the discrimination result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
