POLYVINYL CHLORIDE RESIN COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

Disclosed is a polyvinyl chloride resin composition containing, per 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl chloride resin, 0.005-5 parts by weight of a vinyl alcohol polymer containing 0.01-15 mol% of a monomer unit having a specific polyoxyalkylene group in a side chain and having a saponification degree of 30-99.9 mol%, and 0.01-5 parts by weight of a zinc compound.  Also disclosed is a polyvinyl chloride resin composition containing, per 100 parts by weight of a polyvinyl chloride resin, 0.005-5 parts by weight of a vinyl alcohol polymer containing 0.5-18 mol% of an ethylene unit and having a saponification degree of a vinyl acetate unit of 30-99.9 mol%, and 0.01-5 parts by weight of a zinc compound.  The polyvinyl chloride resin compositions have excellent thermal stability during molding and can provide a molded body which rarely suffers from coloration.
