<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proton conductive electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell excelling in heat resistance, durability, stability in dimension, flexibility, mechanical strength, and in fuel barrier property and showing excellent proton conductivity even at a low temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The proton conductive electrolyte membrane is composed of hydrolyzate for a metal alkoxide and a deficient form heteropolyacid. In addition, the deficient form heteropolyacid is preferably fixed in the membrane by M-O-Y bonding. Furthermore, M is an atom of W or Mo which is a part of skeleton component atoms for the deficient form heteropolyacid, O is an oxygen atom, Y is one type of an atom selected from Si, Ti, Al and Zr which are metals in the metal alkoxide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
