The device (10) has a head (10a) insertable into an undercut slot (16) of a profile bar (12), where a collar (10b) is arranged below the head. The device suppresses and deforms a material of two profile bars (12, 14) into an undercut slot region and a longitudinal borehole region due to the oversize of the profile bars during the assembly of the profile bars, where the oversize of the device is suppressed and deformed for accurate accommodation of the profile bars in a measure before the assembly of the material of the two profile bars in the longitudinal borehole region.
