<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver such that an array of keys in a remote control unit and an array of programs in a program guide can be easily made to visually correspond to each other and a program can be easily selected. <P>SOLUTION: The remote control unit 1 of a television receiver 100 has a key operation unit provided at least partially with a program guide correspondence area having a plurality of keys arranged in a matrix form, wherein a generating means generates a program guide having a plurality of pieces of program information associated with broadcast programs arrayed in the matrix form having the same array pattern with the plurality of keys in the program guide correspondence area, and a specifying means specifies, in response to operation of a key, a broadcast program of program information displayed at a display position based upon display position information made to correspond to identification information on the operated key in a correspondence table in which identification information on the respective keys in the program guide correspondence area arranged in the same array positions and display position information on respective program information in the program guide are stored while made to correspond to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
