PURPOSE:To control the generation of an intergranular deposit and to obtain a superconductor high in the critical current density in a magnetic field by impregnating a Y-Ba-Cu-O-based compd. with a soln. contg. Ba and Cu, drying and degreasing the impregnated compd. and then burning the degreased compd. above the m.p. of the compd. CONSTITUTION:The powders of Y2O3, BaCO3 and CuO, for example, are mixed in the metal element ratio of Y:Ba:Cu=1:2:3, wet-mixed and then dried. A plasticizer, binder, dispersant and solvent are added to the obtained mixed powder, and the mixture is again wet-mixed to obtain a slurry. The slurry is defoamed and formed into a sheet which is dried, degreased and burned at 900 deg.C. Meanwhile, the naphthenates of Ba and Cu are mixed in an atomic ratio of Ba:Cu=3:5, and the mixture is dissolved in toluene at the concn. of 20g/l. The soln. is applied on the calcined sheet, dried and then calcined to remove org. matter. The impregnating and degreasing process is repeated 10 times, and the impregnated sheet is burned at 960 deg.C. |
