The invention relates to a rotating spit with a central body (10), for supporting foodstuffs (2), in particular layered meat and layered meat products, arranged around the central body (10) and a heating element (3) acting from outside on the foodstuff (2). The aim of the invention is to improve the state of the art such that the layered foodstuff may remain perfectly fresh and hygienic over a longer period. Said aim is achieved whereby the central body (10) is provided with cooling. |
