PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To share cables prepared by the number of channels, when transmitting IF signals for a plurality of channels to a transmitter from a receiver in a relay broadcast unit, existing at a position where the receiver is separated from the transmitter, and to simplify an entire configuration for restraining costs. SOLUTION: In a separation type relay broadcast unit, the receiver 10 transmits the broadcast wave signals for the plurality of channels converted to an IF signal by a reception processor 13 to the transmitter 20 by a single transmission cable 30. The IF signal of the plurality of channels transmitted to the transmitter 20 is converted into digital data by an A/D converter 24, is divided for each channel by digital signal processor 25, passes via D/A converters 26-1 to 26-N, is converted into an arbitrary frequency signal of an RF band for each channel by transmission processors 27-1 to 27-N, and is multiplexed for irradiating from a transmission antenna 211.
