PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To moderate an operator's stress in his/her monitoring operation of a large display board within a central control room while improving the monitoring property and the operator's concentration by designing the shapes of walls and ceiling within the central control room and the surface patterns and colors thereof. SOLUTION: In the central control room 1 of a power plant in which an operation monitoring auxiliary board 4 formed of a large display board, a central operation monitoring board 5, an operator desk 6 and the like are disposed, inner walls 12 are arranged to continuously extend from both ends of the operation monitoring auxiliary board 4, and both the inner walls 12 are formed so that the space between both the inner walls 12 is reduced from a floor 14 toward a ceiling 13.
