<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform display having high quality by avoiding influence due to residual charges of the data signal of the preceding scanning which remain on capacitors of pixel circuits. <P>SOLUTION: This display device is provided with: a pixel circuit which is constituted of an active element which selects a pixel with a horizontal scanning signal to be supplied from a scanning line GL, a data holding element which holds a data signal to be supplied from a data line DL by the turning on of the active element and a light emitting element OLED which emits light with a current to be supplied from a current supplying line CSL according to the data signal held in the data holding element at every intersection part of a plurality of scanning lines GL and a plurality data lines DL intersecting the plurality of scanning lines which are arranged in a matrix shape in the display area AR being on a substrate SUB; and a reset circuit RST for making at least either capacitors CPR or data lines DL of the pixel circuits return to initial states after the scanning of the scanning line of one scanning before is completed and before data with respect to pixels corresponding the next scanning line are transmitted is provided in the data lines DL. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
