PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for specifying the present position of a mobile terminal device, or inputting the departure station, when using transportation facility information from the mobile terminal device. SOLUTION: A mobile telephone 200 receives information indicating the departure station from an IC card 100, when going through a ticket wicket, or it also receives information indicating the destination station from the IC card 100. Alternatively, the destination station may be acquired from the key input on the mobile telephone 200 by the user. Then, the user sends the information, indicating the departure station and the stop to an information providing server 300 via a base station 400 and a communications network 600, and at the same time, acquires the transportation facility information between the departure station and the destination station, from the information providing server 300.
