In one embodiment, a high-speed transport aircraft (100) includes a fuselage (102) having a first fuselage portion (104) and a second fuselage portion (106) positioned aft of the first fuselage portion (104). In one aspect of this embodiment, the engine nacelle (122) can include an air inlet (126) positioned aft of the leading edge region (112) of the wing (110) and an exhaust gas outlet (128) positioned aft of the trailing edge region (115) of the wing (110).
