A back light assembly and a liquid crystal display module using the same are provided to display an image with high brightness by minimizing light loss, and simplify an attachment process by reducing the number of polarizing films to be attached to a liquid crystal panel. A light guide panel(136) refracts a light, incident on one side of the light guide panel, to an upper side. A fluorescent lamp(134) is arranged along one side of the light guide panel. A reflective polarizing plate(140) is interposed between the fluorescent lamp and at least one side of the light guide panel for transmitting a specific polarizing component of the light emitted from the fluorescent lamp while reflecting the rest of the light. |
