PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a tape cutting mechanism to significantly improve the efficiency of assembly operation. SOLUTION: When a tape 9 is cut by the cutting amount of a half cut, about 75 degrees of side view clockwise rotation is made to a change cam 121, and a support member 106 is moved to a predetermined half cut position where it contacts a cutter holder 103. The cutter holder 103 contacts a cutting-board part 136 of the support member 106 with the tape 9 sandwiched in between and pivots to a predetermined third angle resisting a cutter press-contact spring 112. At the same time, the cutter holder moves a pressure member 104 in the direction of a guide axis 108 to insert the tape 9 between a roller with passive rotation 120 and a tape exhaust roller 116. A carriage-moving motor 74 is actuated to move a carriage 105 in the tape width direction to perform a half cut. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
