PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a tip of a tread from interfering with a riser of the adjacent step and prevent occurrence of a clearance between the riser of the step and the tread being adjacent to each other. SOLUTION: A part between a going passage side horizontal part and a going passage side fixed inclined part in a circulation passage, namely, a going passage side upper bent part and a going passage side lower bent part, has an auxiliary rail 22 set based on positions of the axes of each driving roller 6 so that a moving track of a relative position of a step 2 on a lower step side for the step 2 on an upper step side among mutually adjacent steps 2 is the same as a surface shape of the riser 5 of the step 2 on the upper step side.
