<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a VA (vertical alignment) mode transflective liquid crystal display device that can achieve a wide viewing angle by optionally switching between a reflective mode and a transmissive mode as well as improves the light efficiency in a reflection area to totally enhance brightness of an image. <P>SOLUTION: The VA mode transflective liquid crystal display device includes ribs 182, 184 disposed in a transmission area TA and a reflection area RA in such a manner that the number of domains formed in the reflection area RA is smaller than the number of domains in the transmission area TA. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
