An AC-LED system in a single chip with three metal contacts is provided to form a shortest connection line between diodes on the same plane instead of the shortest surface connecting circuit. A plurality of AC-LED units(C11,C12,C13,C21,C32,C33) are arranged on a substrate(500). A first, second, and third metal contacts(P1,P2,P3) are arranged on the substrate. A first series of AC-LED units include a first termination connected to the first metal contact and a second termination connected to the second metal contact. A second series of AC-LED units include a first termination connected to the first metal contact and a second termination connected to the third metal contact. A third series of AC-LED units include a first termination connected to the second metal contact and a second termination connected to the third metal contact.
